...possesses gorgeous aromatic presence and a level of depth not seen in many wines in this vintage.
...hints of crushed stone and pencil shavings appear on the nose, joined by suggestions of dried sage and bay leaf garnishing black cherries and cassis. It's medium- to full-bodied, a bit less bombastic than either the Rutherford or Oakville Cabernets but silkier and more refined, with a lingering, softly tannic finish.
Powerful and layered with aromas of blackberries, dark plums, graphite and mountain herbs. The palate is full-bodied with firm tannins and a long, mineral-driven finish.
It has plenty of ripe black and blue fruit intermixed with lots of sappy herbs, chocolate, and cedary graphite notes. It's medium to full-bodied, has a balanced, layered mouthfeel, plenty of tannins, and outstanding length.
