This well-toned red is marked by graphite, cherry, blackberry and oak spice. Delivers a dense spine of tannins that underlines it all, as this feels like it's shutting down at this stage. Shows purity and fine length.
...excellent, unwinding in the glass with notes of cherries, plums, orange rind, dark chocolate, sweet spices and toasty new oak. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, it's deep and concentrated, with broad shoulders and rich, powdery structuring tannins.
The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, very good weight and a fine bead of acidity... Velvety texture on the finish. Lovely.
