RATINGS

97James Suckling

Superb aromatic complexity. Beautifully caught ripe strawberries, cherries and raspberries with fragrant and exotic violets and roses. A very juicy, fleshy and engaging texture. The tannins fold out in sheets and make for very compelling freshness and length.

95The Wine Advocate

...aromatically captivating, showcasing the style of the village, always lots of violet and wildflowers and the freshness, elegance and subtleness of the vintage...

PRODUCER

Comando G.

Comando G was founded by friends Daniel Jimenez-Landi and Fernando Garcia, who met while studying at the University of Madrid. The vineyard stretches 10 hectares and is organically and biodynamically farmed. Vines range in age from 50 - 80 years old and are planted in granite, slate, and quartz dominant soils. Fruit is always harvested by hand and each bottling is single-vineyard, as they seek to bring out the unique nuances from each of their plots. Bid on Comando G wines in auction today!

TYPE

Red Wine, Grenache

One of the most popular red varieties planted, it ripens late and prefers hot dry climates. It probably originated in Spain, where it is still widely grown. Grenache is best known for its use in Southern Rhone wines, including those of Chateauneuf-du-Pape.
