Vinous, complex but unevolved nose hints at minerals, menthol and tobacco; I sensed I was seeing just the tip of the iceberg here. Then wonderfully thick and sweet in the mouth, with the texture of a solid.
Packs in lots of rich, supple layers of flavor, built around fleshy currant, black cherry, plum and wild berry fruit, shaded by creamy, toasty oak. The vibrancy and concentration give this a long, persistent finish.
