Estimate
One of the most distinctive wines in this range... inky, dense and unctuous, with plenty of the earthy/savory profile that is such a signature of this famous Carneros site....powerful, resonant
Reminds me of a Napa version of a St.-Emilion, with notes of baking spices, Christmas fruitcake, red and black currants, licorice and a touch of herbaceousness. It is dense, ripe, medium to full-bodied, and ready to drink.
The complex aromas are distinctive and refined, revealing more structure to the dark berry, cedary oak, anise and gravelly earth flavors. Shows a measure of restraint and discipline, ending on a graceful note.
