... Big, ripe, layered and hedonistic, with tons of sweet Grenache blackberry and black cherry fruits, melted licorice and roasted herb aromas and flavors, this sensational Grenache has full-bodied richness, polished, sweet tannin, no hard edges and a great finish...silky, polished and incredibly pure.
... An assertively perfumed bouquet evokes ripe black and blue fruits, along with hints of licorice, violet pastille and peppery spices. Sweet, palate-staining cassis and boysenberry flavors become spicier as the wine opens up, showing impressive energy and back-end thrust. Finishes smoky and very long, offering slow-building tannins and a suave echo of sweet dark fruit.
Offers a deep well of fleshy fruit, with blueberry reduction, braised fig and blackberry pâte de fruit flavors all layered together and carrying through a polished, violet- and pastis-tinged finish...
Lifted aroma of very small dark berries...a slightly bloody and meaty quality...with time a touch of leather. Really savoury and dark on the palate, the tannins super-fine and dry like a fine layer of coal. Extreme mineral quality that I associate with granite and the Douro but with more elegant, less concentrated fruit. Firmer tannins than the Héloïse. Savoury on the finish. Salty aftertaste.
