All the signatures of this site are front and center. I especially like the breadth and volume of the 2019. Even with all that richness, the 2019 is wonderfully vibrant. It's an exquisite wine.
Black-cherry and floral aromas with some pine needles. Medium-to full-bodied with fine, dusty tannins. Creamy and medium-round with fine, velvety tannins. Such finesse and refinement. Goes on for minutes.
Redcurrants, cassis, chalky minerality, lead pencil, and camphor notes all emerge on the nose, and it’s medium to full-bodied, has silky, polished tannins, and an incredible finish.
...boasts a decadent, almost Pomerol-like nose of ripe black cherries. It just oozes lushness from every pore, being full-bodied, rich and supple in the mouth, with a long, plush finish and graceful notes of pine and red cherries.
Starts with a nice lush feel to the cassis and plum puree flavors, then steadily picks up grip along the way, with warm cast iron and loam hints running underneath before blossoming through the finish, which pulls in additional singed cedar and savory notes.
...wonderfully sappy and herbal on the nose but balances those notes with ripe cherries. It's medium to full-bodied, not as rich or lush as some of the other Bond wines, but silky, suave and elegant, with a long, lingering finish laced with dried herbs and softly dusty tannins.
Ripe, sleek and polished in style, with inviting boysenberry and blackberry puree notes that meld with black tea, melted licorice, singed wood spice, sage, menthol and a late tug of bittersweet cocoa.
This is so open and perfumed with blackcurrants, stone and conifer. Full-bodied with fine, velvety tannins that spread across the palate in a layered way. Wonderfully polished and powdered.
...powerful and virile from the first taste. All of the natural intensity of the year comes through loud and clear. There's plenty of the tannic heft that is such a Quella signature, but also plenty of fruit.
...accenting blueberry and blackberry fruit. It's medium to full-bodied, with juicy, mouthwatering acids and ripe, creamy-supple, tannins, making for a pleasant juxtaposition on the wine's lingering finish.
This has generous flavors of enticingly spiced blackberry and boysenberry compote, along with a tumble of bramble, warm earth and chaparral accents. Plenty grippy too, with a cast iron spine driving the finish.
...boasts effusive aromas of ripe cherries and briary raspberries framed by subtle cedar shadings. Full-bodied, silky, plush and long...
Flamboyant aromas of oak tree, dried flowers, violets and black mushrooms. Full-bodied with juiciness and depth of fruit and acidity. Dusty tannins and such length. Warmth and crushed-stone character. Extremely long and creamy.
It has a darker, medium to full-bodied, incredibly complex profile that offers abundant cassis-like fruit, notes of graphite, flowers, violets, and tobacco, integrated acidity, polished tannins, and a great, great finish.
Dark fruit, gravel, mocha and dried herbs build into the long, substantial finish.
Densely packed but defined, with an alluring alder smoke edge, this slowly unwinds the core of steeped plum, blackberry and black currant preserves over a long cast iron spine that drives throughout.
It offers tremendous complexity on the nose, with hints of bay leaf, dried sage and pine needles set against a core of ripe cherries and raspberries. In the mouth, it's silky and lush, with terrific length and vibrant fruit on the finish.
