Founder Randy Dunn worked for years at Caymus and purchased a vineyard on Howell Mountain in 1978. He and his wife make Cabs, which are some of the most consistent and well-made in Napa Valley.
Created by Australia’s first couple of winemaking, it is a winery of exuberant reds and adventuresome whites. The term “mollydooker” is slang for being left handed, which both winemakers are.
Founded in 1776, Louis Roederer is one of the most prestigious Champagne houses. In the mid-19th century the Russian Czar Alexander II was such a fan he ordered a special cuvee for his court. Today the estate remains independently owned.
