Domaine Roger Sabon’s history dates from the 16th century, when the Sabon family first owned vineyards in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Today the Sabon family still runs the domaine and is admired for its traditional, high-quality wines.
Nestled in Pomerol, Château Rouget was once owned by the region’s mayor. Today the Labruyère family of Beaujolais owns it and employs celebrated consulting winemaker Michael Rolland to produce what reviewers call “rich and interesting” wines.
Duckhorn Vineyards was founded in 1976 by the Duckhorn family after an inspiring trip to Bordeaux. This estate was one of California’s first to champion Merlot.
