Like many of France’s historic producers, Domaine Comte de Georges de Vogue has been in the same family for more than 500 years. Comte de Vogue’s premier wine is Musigny Vieilles Vignes, though the domaine also make Chardonnay and other Pinot Noirs.
Tusk Estates is one of Napa Valley’s 21st century cult wines. Founded in 2007 by a trio of entrepreneurs with deep ties to fine food and wine, Tusk produces a mere 150 cases a year. One of the founders is famed French winemaker Philippe Melka.
Realm Cellars was founded in 2002 when wine enthusiast Juan Mercado bought a load of Napa Valley grapes and started making wine. Today the estate sources from “the realm” of Napa’s best vineyards and produces wines that earn stellar reviews.
