Domaine Leflaive traces its roots back 2,000 years to vineyards planted by the Romans. Now owned and managed by the Leflaive family, its white Burgundies are renowned for their quality. Its 58 acres are planted entirely to Chardonnay.
The Araujos purchased their 38-acre estate from the Eiseles, who planted the vines in the 1960s and for 40 years grew outstanding grapes.The estate was an early leader in organic and sustainable winemaking and is today owned by Château Latour.
Mouton Rothschild is the only chateau to be moved from the Second to First Growth classification. It is also known for its labels of commissioned art from Dali, Miro, Picasso and Warhol, among others.
