Taylor Fladgate, often shortened to Taylor’s, is one of the Douro Valley’s most venerable Port producers, having purchased real estate there in the late 17th century. It is still owned by descendants of the founders and produces only Port.

Australia’s most renowned wine comes from Penfolds. The estate began when a doctor found wine to be a boon for his patients. Penfolds continues to break the mold, producing extraordinary wines.

The namesake 12th century tower stands in the courtyard. The Kressman family has been managing the estate for four generations, and designed the labels in the 1930s.
