Founded in 2009 by winemaker Jesse Katz, Aperture Cellars is based in Healdsburg, Sonoma County, and features a range of Bordeaux-styled wines from vineyards throughout the Sonoma Valley.
Château Smith-Haut-Lafitte takes part of its name from an 18th-century owner from Scotland named Smith. The estate is today owned by Daniel Cathiard, a former French Olympic skier, and its wines are known for their elegance.
Silver Oak was founded on the idea of making only one varietal – Cabernet Sauvignon. 35 years later, the winery is still only making sophisticated and polished Cabs.
