This Burgundian style Russian River Valley wine has achieved “Cult Chardonnay” status and Grand Cru character. Kistler is known for Chardonnay but also makes a great Pinot Noir.
Mommessin traces its history to 1865, when Jean-Marie Mommessin purchased outbuildings of a former abbey and began business as a negociant. Today the estate is known for its Gamay and for making Beaujolais vinified in the Burgundian style.
Ghost Horse Vineyard is owned by Todd Anderson, who is dedicated to making luxury Cabernet Sauvignons at very limited production levels. Ghost Horse makes five distinct Cabernets and a Chardonnay. They are all superb.
