Domaine Jacques Frederic Mugnier owns parcels in the prestigious Musigny vineyard, and its famous wines come from that and other vineyards. The estate has been in the Mugnier family since 1863 and is noted for its Grand Crus.
Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou is a Second Growth Bordeaux in St.-Julien. It was named for the “beautiful stones” found in the region. The wine is even more impressive.
Château Beychevelle traces its history to the Middle Ages, when its wine was considered so outstanding it was shipped to England and Germany. The wine still impresses. Robert Parker notes that “Beychevelle wines are generally soft and smooth…”
