Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey is the eldest son of Marc Colin, who 40 years ago started the domaine that would become Marc Colin et Fils. In 2006 Pierre-Yves struck out on his own and today makes highly regarded, mostly white, Burgundies.
Domaine Faiveley was founded in 1825 and generations of Faiveleys worked to shape not only their own business but also the reputation of Burgundian wines. Today Favieley makes premier wines, including the monopole Corton Clos des Cortons Faiveley.
Château La Mission Haut-Brion was bequeathed to an order of Catholic friars in 1682 who not only built an architecturally significant chapel, but who became excellent viticulturalists. Today it remains one of the appellation’s stars.
