Bouchard Père et Fils is one of the most venerable domaines in Burgundy. It was founded in 1731 as a textiles company, but by 1750 it was also acquiring vineyards and producing wine. Today it is owned by Joseph Henriot, the Champagne house.
Domaine Armand Rousseau was founded in the early 20th century by Armand Rousseau. Today his family still runs the estate. Burgundy expert Clive Coates calls the domaine’s wines “vigorous and very classy… this is superb winemaking…”
