Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair was created in 2000 by Louis-Michel Liger-Belair from vineyards that have been in his family since the early 19th century. Clive Coates notes that “These are elegant, finely tuned and very pure wines.”
Domaine Dujac is a youngster by Burgundy standards. Founded in 1967 by Louis Seysses, Dujac wines quickly earned acclaim. The domaine remains a family operation with prime parcels in grand cru and premier cru vineyards.
Taylor Fladgate, often shortened to Taylor’s, is one of the Douro Valley’s most venerable Port producers, having purchased real estate there in the late 17th century. It is still owned by descendants of the founders and produces only Port.
