In 1992 Ann Colgin left a career at Sotheby’s to immerse herself in Napa Valley winemaking. Working with legendary winemaker Helen Turley, Colgin’s wines became California Cult Cabs. Robert Parker calls them “some of the world’s greatest wines…”
Dominus Estate is owned by Christian Moueix, whose family owns the legendary Chateau Petrus in Pomerol, France. Since 1982 Moueix has been crafting Bordeaux style wines in Napa, a perfect blend of French winemaking and Napa terroir.
Screaming Eagle was the original Cult Cab having started the phenomenon in the 1990s. Today the estate also produces sought-after, limited amounts of Sauvignon Blanc and a second label, Second Flight.
