Dana Estates was started by Hi Sang Lee, a South Korean businessman and wine importer. Lee built an impressive new winery and named his enterprise Dana, Sanskrit for “spirit of generosity.” He also hired acclaimed winemaker Philippe Melka.

Gaja’s wines are among Italy’s most distinctive, and as a businessman and winemaker, patriarch Angelo Gaja has always been visionary. Inspired by French wines, Gaja in the 1970s advocated for better quality Italian wines, leading with his own.

Beaulieu Vineyards is often called “BV,” but it was formally named after the “beautiful place” it was founded. Georges de Latour dreamed of a serene and scenic estate and then made his dreams come true.
