Pierre Morlet

Pierre Morlet has been a family owned and operated Champagne house in Avenay-Val-d’Or since the 19th century. Today the estate is run by the family’s fourth generation, brothers Nicolas and Paulin Morlet. All the estate’s 40 vineyard acres are designated as either Grand Cru or Premier Cru and the estate makes non-vintage and vintage Champagne. About 14,000 cases are produced annually. The family’s winemaking philosophy is non-interventionist, and the Grand Réserve is released a minimum of four years after harvest, while the Millésime is released five to eight years after harvest. The house styled is round and elegant, with the predominance of Pinot Noir lending fruit notes of raspberry and violet.
