Paolo Conterno

Paolo Conterno is a 30-acre estate in the Langhe appellation of Piedmont. It was founded in 1886 when Paolo Conterno started growing grapes and producing wine in the Ginestra district of Monforte. Today the company is still family owned and operated and the flagship wines are its Barolos, though it also produces Langhe Nebbiolo, Barbera d’Alba and Dolcetto d’Alba. Gambero Rosso, Italy’s best known wine journal, has noted that Paolo Conterno enjoys “an utterly unique terroir, with as much prestige as a piece of land can boast.” Gambero Rosso has on several occasions awarded the producer the journal’s 3 glasses award, its most prestigious.
