Marcel Juge is one of the legendary winemakers of the Northern Rhone Valley. For decades he made old-school, rustic Rhones from Cornas. In the late 1990s he retired and passed most of his vineyards on to his daughter Olga, who with her father made wine from the best vines and sold off other grapes. But Olga stepped back from the business so starting in 2005 Juge decided to make a tiny amount of wine on his own as a hobby, and he now makes about 150 cases a year. Reviewers note that each vintage from Juge may be the last.
