La Ferme du Mont is in Courthezon, in the Chateauneuf-du-Pape appellation of the Rhone Valley. It is owned and operated by Stephane Vedeau, a winemaker and vigneron who made wine in the Languedoc for years before moving back to the Rhone Valley in 2000 and buying Ferme du Mont, a 125-acre estate. Robert M. Parker Jr. has awarded the La Ferme du Mont Chateauneuf-du-Pape Cotes Capelan 96 pts in the past, writing that the wine comes from “an up- and-coming star of the appellation.” The estate also produces Cotes du Rhone.
