Kenefick Ranch

Kenefick Ranch was founded in Calistoga by Dr. Thomas P. Kenefick and his children Caitlin and Chris. Thomas Kenefick moved to San Francisco in 1969 to practice neurosurgery and in 1978 he bought the 125-acre of vineyards that became his wine estate. Vineyards were planted mostly to red Bordeaux grapes though Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Marsanne and Grenache Blanc also were planted. Only ten percent of the estate’s grapes are used for its own labels. The rest is sourced to Etude, Lewis Cellars, Merryvale, Caymus and several other artisanal producers. Kenefick makes several red Bordeaux blends, a white Rhone-style blend and Sauvignon Blanc.
