Jacques Lassaigne

Jacques Lassaigne is a 12-acre, family owned estate in Montgueux in southern Champagne. It is run by Emmanuel Lassaigne, son of the founder, and Emmanuel takes a very hands-on, natural approach to winemaking. He uses indigenous yeast only, adds very little sulfur and disgorges all bottles by hand himself. His grapes are also hand harvested and organically farmed. Lassaigne produces vintage and non-vintage Champagne that greatly impresses reviewers. Wine Advocate’s reviewer noted that “Emmanuel Lassaigne is not only the one and only superstar in Montgueux—his cuvées are highly appreciated in advanced wine circles around the globe.”
