Domaine Humbert Freres is a 14-acre estate in Charmes Chambertin. Brothers Emmanuel and Frederic are the fourth generation to operate the estate, and the pair have been running it since 1989. The Humberts are cousins of the winemaking Dugat family and live in the same vicinity. The domaine has a Grand Cru parcel in Charmes-Chambertin, and Premier Crus in Gevrey-Chambertin. There are also village wines. Clive Coates has noted that the estate’s wines are “succulent, graceful and elegant….”
