Giacomo Grimaldi

Giacomo Grimaldi is a 25-acre estate in Piedmont. Founded by Ernesto Grimaldi in 1930, the estate was inherited by his son Giacomo in 1983 and is today run by Giacomo’s son, Ferrucio. Ferrucio kept only the estate’s best vineyards, and has acquired more since he took over in 1996. Regarded as a young producer with a remarkably successful portfolio of vintages, Ferrucio Grimaldi’s wines are described by Gambero Rosso, Italy’s leading wine journal, as “confident and uncompromising.” His Barolo’s are “unquestionably classy,” the journal added. About 50,000 bottles are produced annually.
