Maison F. Hasenklever was founded in Nuits-Saint-Georges in the mid-19th century by Fernand Hasenklever, a German wine merchant. As it passed from generation to generation it was eventually taken over by Lionel-Joseph Bruck, a descendant of some of the earlier owners. The F. Hasenklever name was eventually phased out and by the late 20th century all former Hasenklever wines carried the label Lionel J. Bruck. The wines are primarily distributed in Europe and Japan.
