Domaine Fournier Pere et Fils is a 222-acre estate in Sancerre, on the Western edge of France’s Loire Valley. Though patriarch Claude Fournier is a 10th-generation winemaker, when he took over the family estate in 1950 it included only five acres. Today the vineyards are located in three appellations: Sancerre, Pouilly Fume and Menetou Salon. Claude’s brother Jacques manages the vineyards, and both brothers have adult children who are now part of the estate’s team.
