Christophe Buisson started his Saint-Romain domaine near Beaune in 1996. He and his wife, who has a degree in oenology, work their 15 acres of vineyards and Christophe is the winemaker. The estate produces Chardonnay, including a Premier Cru Chassange-Montrachet, and Pinot Noir. The Saint-Romain appellation is in the hills behind Meursault and Buisson owns some of the best parcels.
