Château La Clusiere is a 6.2-acre estate in St.-Emilion. Since 1997 it has been owned by Gerard Perse, who also owns Pavie, Pavie Decesse and Monbousquet. The estate had fallen into disrepair before Perse bought it. Then under his direction La Clusiere produced several highly rated vintages. Robert M. Parker Jr. gave the 2000 vintage 100 pts and called it a “magnificent effort.” About 5,000 bottles were produced annually from 1997 until 2001. Then in 2002 Perse decided to fold La Clusiere into Château Pavie. The 2001 La Clusiere vintage was the final vintage.
