Château Destieux is a Grand Cru Classé and is part of the Dauriac vineyards, owned by Christian Dauriac. The 19.8 vineyard acres are 66 percent Merlot and 34 percent Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate has used the services of winemaking consultant Michel Rolland for some vintages, and Robert M. Parker Jr. has noted that “the wines of Destieux are among the deepest colored and most powerful and dense of the appellation.”
