Canard-Duchene

Canard-Duchêne was founded in the 19th century when Victor Canard, a barrel maker, married Leonie Duchêne, the daughter of a winemaker from Reims. The estate stayed in the family until 1978 when it was acquired by the LVMH group, who then sold it to Alain Thiénot, whose family business owns numerous wineries in Champagne and Bordeaux. The estate includes 115 acres of vineyards and it is based in Ludes, in the sub-region of Champagne known as Montagne de Reims. Canard-Duchéne makes a full line of Champagnes.
