Bodegas Pintia is the latest project of the Alvarez family, a prominent family of Spanish business people and estate owners who also own and run Vega Sicilia. Bodegas Pintia is in Zamora in the province of Valladolid, in the Toro appellation. The first commercial vintage was the 2001 Pintia. The estate makes just one wine, which is a 100% Tinta de Toro.
