An elegant, pure and refined nose of earth, coffee, spice and intensely perfumed black cherries combine with focused, tautly muscular, remarkably complex and precise full-bodied, sweet and palate staining flavors that seem to go on and on.
Tangy, fresh, very complex nose combines blackberry, blueberry, redcurrant, tobacco, violet, espresso and minerals.
Medium-bodied, elegant, and powerful, it bastes the palate with plump waves of blackberries, spices, and cassis. Notes of tar can be discerned in its cinnamon, dark fruit, clove, and black cherry-laden lengthy finish.
Odd wine, with game, tar, vanilla, butterscotch, and whiskey barrel stuff: a bit strange. But it's fairly rich and ripe, with a silky texture, and good length. The concentration comes through on the finish.
Some violets. Pretty light, and pretty rather than magnificent. Then some sinewy tannins on the finish. Not an opulent expression but very neat and appetising...Very precise. Very fine.
