(NMWJ) ...touches of pepper & underbrush, but then it reveals a more exotic side, crushed flowers, apricot jam & orange zest developing in the glass, then touches of kirsch & molasses... very complex and alluring... Quintessential Pomerol.
Aromatic and elegant, with lovely violet, floral and fruity aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins. Ripe fruit aftertaste has a hint of dark chocolate.
Luscious ruby-looking. Some evolution at the rim. Scented and meaty. The merest hint of brett? Sweet start - real vigour here. Some freshness. Great persistence.
"Adjoining Petrus, L'Evangile and Vieux-Chateau-Certan it is not surprising that this is one of the top Pomerols"- Clive Coates MW
