Sexy aromas of black raspberry, tobacco, chocolate and smoky oak. A fat, sexy fruit bomb of a cabernet, with a dominant flavor of black cherry. Finishes with substantial ripe tannins.

Aromas of flowers, black raspberries, and blackberries are followed by a rich, full-bodied, big, concentrated wine that can stand up to the tannic ferocity.

PRODUCER

Kobalt is an artisanal producer in Napa. It was started in 2001 by Kevin Carriker, who worked in vineyards and cellars in Napa and Bordeaux before acquiring a small vineyard in southeastern Napa Valley. With help from consulting winemaker and entrepreneur Mark Herold, Carriker now makes about 20 barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon annually. Kobalt also makes Port and Sauvignon Blanc.
