RATINGS

91-93The Wine Advocate

...has a perfumed bouquet...palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin...long, sustained, quite saline finish. Excellent.

90Vinous / IWC

The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin, dense and quite extracted black fruit laced with cassis and spices, although the finish is just missing some finesse.

REGION

France, Burgundy, Côte d'Or, Côte de Nuits, Vosne-Romanee, Les Suchots

Les Suchots is a 33-acre Premier Cru in Vosne-Romanee, in Burgundy’s Cote de Nuits. The vineyard is at the same elevation as Romanee-Saint-Vivant. Its neighbors are Romanee-Saint-Vivant and Richebourg on the south and Les Echezeaux to the north.

TYPE

Red Wine, Pinot Noir, 1er (Premier) Cru

This red wine is relatively light and can pair with a wide variety of foods. The grape prefers cooler climates and the wine is most often associated with Burgundy, Champagne and the U.S. west coast. Regional differences make it nearly as fickle as it is flexible.
