It has an attractive, slightly more exotic bouquet than the premier crus with black plum, briary, orange pith and a touch of brine, all very well defined...palate is very well balanced with supple tannin, finely pitched acidity with a caressing finish that gently fans out in nonchalant fashion.
Bright, dark red with ruby tones. Vibrant aromas of black cherry and licorice are accented by a stony nuance... Finishes with building tannins.
Masses of impact and drama and then tension on the end. Rich but far from fat or heaviness. Still a little oak signature but not dominant. Very clean and fresh.
