RATINGS

96James Suckling

A full-bodied white with sliced cooked apples, pears, spices and hints of stone, bitter lemon and lemon curd. Round and flavorful. Lots of pure fruit. Very primary.

94+ The Wine Advocate

...revealing pure peach, quince and accents of graham cracker, beeswax, matchstick and floral perfume...light-bodied palate combines a plush, satiny texture with shimmery acidity.

93Wine Spectator

A stunning white wine, with terrific intensity to the lemon curd, tangerine and mango flavors at the core, revealing vibrant acidity and accents of lemon thyme, litsea oil, sea salt minerality and fresh citrus zest. Delivers roasted hazelnut details on the finish.

REGION

United States, California, Sonoma, Sonoma Coast

Sonoma Coast AVA runs from San Pablo Bay in the south to Mendocino County in the north. It includes 7,000 vineyard acres and earned AVA status in 1987. Its proximity to the Pacific Ocean means it gets double the rainfall of nearby inland appellations and the ocean gives the appellation a relatively cool climate. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir can thrive in these conditions, and there are numerous producers making critically acclaimed Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

TYPE

White Wine, Chardonnay

This white variety originated in Burgundy, but is now grown around the world. Its flexibility to thrive in many regions translates to wide flavor profile in the market. Chardonnay is commonly used in making Champagne and sparkling wines.
