This is a decidedly intense, fruity style, especially within the context of Coombsville Cabernet, but those mineral, herbal notes are present, they are just layered into the background.
Enticing açaí berry and blueberry fruit compote notes lead the way, showing both heft and cut as they move through, underscored with graphite and cold cast iron notes on the finish. There's a serious tannic spine, with a late savory echo too.
Dried herb, black currant, cigar box and black pepper accent the well-integrated tannic structure and mineral-like earthiness.
