There's a youthful, nutty aroma here, then the peach, citrus and stone notes emerge on the palate. It's balanced and pure, with a lingering aftertaste of peach. Mouthwatering and crisp.

PRODUCER

Müller-Catoir

Muller-Catoir is a 50-acre winery in Pfalz, in Germany’s southwestern corner. It is owned and operated by the Catoir family. The estate manager is Martin Franzen, a noted young German winemaker. The estate is planted to 60% Riesling, with the remainder planted to other white German varietals. About 130,000 bottles are produced annually. Robert M. Parker Jr. has praised the estate, writing that “anyone who doubts the potential of Rieslaner or Scheurebe has only to taste samples that have long issued, and continue to issue, from this cellar.”

TYPE

White Wine, Riesling, Spätlese

This white variety originated in Germany. It’s known for its strong flowery aromas and high acidity. Please note Rieslings can have dramatic differences as the grape can be used to make dry, semi-sweet, sweet and sparkling wines.
