RATINGS

97James Suckling

This is a special one with iodine, oyster shells and blackcurrants. Full-bodied, yet so integrated and refined with terrific complexity and subtlety for this vineyard site.

97Wine Enthusiast

Juicy and exuberant in sharp red fruit...lengthy in tannin and oak, with ample power and concentration. Dried herb, clove and cedar accent a fresh, focused thoroughfare of acidity and liveliness on the palate, with accents of black and white pepper.

97Jeb Dunnuck

...has a Haut Brion-like earthy tobacco quality as well as stunning currant and blueberry fruits, full-bodied richness, plenty of ripe, building tannins, and a monster of a finish. It's a beautiful, elegant wine...

96The Wine Advocate

...fantastically exuberant crème de cassis, blueberry pie and dark chocolate notes with hints of Morello cherries, tar and cedar chest plus a waft of cinnamon stick and violets. Full-bodied, the palate has a solid structure of firm, grainy tannins and bold freshness framing the vibrant, multilayered fruit, finishing on a persistent mineral note.

94Wine Spectator

Juicy and focused, featuring red and black currant fruit, with black tea, anise and briar notes. Shows serious latent grip through the finish...remains well-integrated.
