RATINGS

97James Suckling

Aromas of citrus, apple skin, grape skin, vanilla, and brioche. Full-bodied with an oiliness and acidity that runs so long. Sort of rock and roll here. Tight on the finish. Flinty. Needs time to open. Released in the fall, 2023. Better after 2023 to 2024.

95-97Vinous / IWC

...all Hyde clone, is more Hyde than the Hyde, so to speak! It possesses tremendous textural richness and breadth, with plenty of the orange peel, spice and tropical notes that are signatures of this clone. Readers who like opulent Chardonnays will adore the Park Avenue. It's an exquisite wine in every way.

94-96The Wine Advocate

...attractive, intense notes of lime blossom, white peach, and citrus zest. Full-bodied, rich and round, it's bright, zesty and long on the finish...

REGION

United States, California, Sonoma, Sonoma Coast

Sonoma Coast AVA runs from San Pablo Bay in the south to Mendocino County in the north. It includes 7,000 vineyard acres and earned AVA status in 1987. Its proximity to the Pacific Ocean means it gets double the rainfall of nearby inland appellations and the ocean gives the appellation a relatively cool climate. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir can thrive in these conditions, and there are numerous producers making critically acclaimed Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

TYPE

White Wine, Chardonnay

This white variety originated in Burgundy, but is now grown around the world. Its flexibility to thrive in many regions translates to wide flavor profile in the market. Chardonnay is commonly used in making Champagne and sparkling wines.
