RATINGS

93James Suckling

This is fruit-forward style with lots of plum and hints of spice. Some dried mushroom. Full body with round, velvety tannins and bright acidity.

92Wine Spectator

Shows a broad, toasty frame, with cedar, dried anise and singed cinnamon notes around a core of steeped black cherry and blackberry coulis flavors. The smoky finish lets the fruit echo a hint of sweet earth.

90The Wine Advocate

...rich, opulent bouquet with macerated small red cherries, fresh fig, copper piping and a touch of citrus lemon...palate is medium-bodied with soft tannins on the entry matched by crisp acidity...appreciable density here with decent length and a touch of Chinese five spice lining the red berry fruit toward the finish.

TYPE

Red Wine, Pinot Noir

This red wine is relatively light and can pair with a wide variety of foods. The grape prefers cooler climates and the wine is most often associated with Burgundy, Champagne and the U.S. west coast. Regional differences make it nearly as fickle as it is flexible.
