Estimate
Very concentrated purple flowers aromas of violet and lavender are tough to crack at this early age, with pressed olallieberry, menthol and a forest floor tartness on the nose as well. The palate is quite tight, with espresso, underripe elderberry and plum-skin flavors, but the incredible energy and slight gamy character keeps it quite intriguing.
Nice complexity in the aromatics include a focus on savoury notes – meatiness, freshly picked Italian herbs, olive and a hint of mint. The palate carries these forward with accents of anise and a bit of coffee grounds. There is nice integration here and the mouthfeel is very lightly tactile – not grippy but instead silken while textured like finely ground Turkish coffee – that is pleasing.
