...boasts a rocking nose of darker currants, ripe black cherries, mulberries, chocolaty oak, iron, and bloody meat...deep, rich, and full-bodied on the palate and has a round, voluptuous mouthfeel, flawless balance, layered tannins, and a great, great finish.
...offering up aromas of cherries, wild berries, violets and subtle spices. Full-bodied, deep and layered, it's lively and vibrant, with a fleshy core of fruit, powdery tannins and bright acids, concluding with a long, precise finish.
...absolutely gorgeous...shows terrific purity of fruit and fine balance, with bright acids that lend notable persistence. Time in the glass brings out a whole range of inky red/purplish berry fruit. Blood orange, spice and mint accents linger.
...really clear and beautiful with currants, blackberries and lavender. Hints of sandalwood, too. Medium-to full-bodied with wonderfully integrated tannins that are finely polished and so long and caressing...a joy to taste.
Ripe and solidly built, with a core of warmed dark plum and steeped black currant fruit mixed with licorice root, singed tobacco and warm earth hints. Shows the warmth of the vintage but keeps a nice sense of detail.
Expressive aromatics on the nose. Ripe almost stewed blackcurrants, dark chocolate and cola. Firm and muscular...concentrated flavours, layers of blackcurrants, cherries, mint and graphite... Chewy, succulent and grippy, really takes hold in the mouth...flavours are lovely... I love the crushed stone, liquorice and slightly salty finish.
