This has a very rich, ripe-blackberry and dark-plum nose with plenty of dark, toasted spice and black pepper. The palate is concentrated and smooth-honed with dense, fine tannins that carry a very plush, juicy and succulently long finish.
This grape is grown in milder climates and produces a medium-to full-bodied wine. It is also known as Shiraz, but should not be confused with Petit Sirah, which was developed by crossing Syrah with Peloursin.
