Craggy Range is located in Havelock North, New Zealand. It was founded in the late 1990s by businessman Terry Peabody, who had an international career in waste management and transportation before starting Craggy Range. The estate makes a large portfolio of wines from Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Chardonnay, to Syrah, Pinot Noir and Bordeaux-style blends.
This grape is grown in milder climates and produces a medium-to full-bodied wine. It is also known as Shiraz, but should not be confused with Petit Sirah, which was developed by crossing Syrah with Peloursin.
